Air Fryer Tempura Vegetables

Ingredients

  • 2 large egg whites

  • 1/4 cup seltzer water

  • 1/2 cup flour

  • 1/4 teaspoon SEASONING (see Variations below)

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

  • 2 cups VEGETABLES ((see Variations below))

  • 1/2 cup purchased DIPPING SAUCE (see Variations below)

Directions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

  2. Beat egg whites in a bowl until frothy. Whisk in seltzer water
    until combined. Whisk in flour, SEASONING, salt, and pepper until batter forms.

  3. Coat basket with cooking spray. Dip VEGETABLES into batter until coated; allow excess to drip off. Working in batches if needed, arrange vegetables in an even layer in basket. Cook until golden brown, about 7 minutes. Serve with DIPPING SAUCE.

    Bell Pepper Tempura

    Curry Powder + Bell Pepper Strips + Peanut Sauce

    Green Bean Tempura

    Ground Ginger + Green Beans, trimmed + Wasabi Sauce

    Broccoli/Cauliflower Tempura

    Chinese Five Spice + Broccoli and/or Cauliflower Florets + Sweet Chili Sauce
