A shooting on a highway in Kentucky on Saturday evening has left five people seriously injured, according to the Laurel County Sheriff's Office.
The shooting occurred around 6:30 p.m. on U.S. Highway 25 north of London, Kentucky. The Laurel County Sheriff's Office said that a white male suspect approached a group of people who were standing in the parking lot of a business. The suspect opened fire on the group, striking five people.

A large section of U.S. Highway 25 north of London was closed for several hours while police investigated the shooting. The road has since been reopened to traffic.
