1 tablespoon butter

2 cloves garlic cloves, minced

1 teaspoon Calabrian hot pepper paste, or to taste

3/4 cup half-and-half

1/4 cup heavy cream

1 1/2 cups freshly shredded Parmesan cheese
Directions

Melt butter In a heavy saucepan over medium-high heat. Stir in garlic and Calabrian hot pepper paste. Slowly pour in half-and-half and whipping cream; stir.

Add Parmesan cheese, 1/4 cup at a time, stirring after each addition. Cook for a total of 4 minutes, stirring continuously. Turn off the heat. Sauce will thicken as it cools.
Cook’s Note
Calabrian hot pepper paste is spicy. I suggest going easy. You can always add more but you cannot take away.
