Bangor Savings Bank is once again collecting peanut butter and jelly to help fight childhood hunger in Maine. The annual PB&J Drive, now in its 10th year, has collected more than 1 million jars of peanut butter and jelly since its inception.

According to Feeding America, one in four children in Maine experiences food insecurity. The PB&J Drive helps to ensure that these children have access to nutritious food.

"Peanut butter and jelly is a simple, yet nutritious food that can make a big difference in the lives of children who are struggling with hunger," said Bob Montgomery-Rice, President and CEO of Bangor Savings Bank. "We are proud to partner with organizations across Maine to collect peanut butter and jelly and help fight childhood hunger."

The PB&J Drive will run from June 1 through June 30. Donations can be dropped off at any Bangor Savings Bank branch or at one of the many community collection sites throughout Maine.

In addition to peanut butter and jelly, monetary donations are also being accepted. Monetary donations will be used to purchase peanut butter and jelly, as well as other food items, for children in need.
